Bringing Baby Home
A Workshop for Couples / Co-Parents
Having a baby changes everything.
Becoming a parent changes who we are and what is important to us.
Wouldn't it be amazing to know what to expect, to have tools to deal with the changes, and to have time set aside to understand our partner's needs and feelings?
The Gottman Institute's research-based Bringing Baby Home workshops prepare couples for life with a baby and help them be the best parenting team possible. In a relaxed and supportive environment, parents learn to strengthen their relationship and foster their baby’s development.
They build on what Dr. Gottman and colleagues found is the best predictor of marital adjustment after a new baby arrives: the quality of friendship in the marriage / relationship.
When babies grow up in a home with a positive, playful parenting team, they feel safe and nurtured and available to learn. They cry less, they smile more, and their parents' cooperation helps them to pay better attention during play time so that they get more out of it.

This parenting and relationship workshop is for couples who are thinking about having a baby, pregnant or parenting a child under the age of 3.
* Single parents are welcome to join with a designated co-parent
This workshop is dyadic!
While virtual, you will engage with your partner in all activities to gain practice together with new skills and tools. While in solidarity with other couples “live” online, think of this more as a small “couples retreat,” where you are both focused solely on each other.
There will be plenty of opportunity for couples to ask questions AND you will have total privacy when practicing the skills by simply turning off your video and sound for set amounts of time during the course. You will also be able to work on additional exercises at your own convenience between our sessions.
As a couple, you will experience more than 12 hours of learning and also engage in exercises and activities to:
